Trolley access into car park behind Aldi

Local Residents’ Association councillors have met with an officer from Havering Council’s Highways Department in Wilson Close, Upminster, about the difficulty people with fully loaded trolleys can have when trying to push them over the dropped curbs into the council car park. At present, there is a small difference in height between the road surface and the dropped curbs, which trolley wheels struggle to overcome when the trolleys are heavily laden.

The council were unaware of this problem and have agreed to undertake the minor work needed to remedy the problem. Hopefully, this will take place over the next couple of months.

  1. Bring back the first hour free parking !

  2. I agree, need 1hr free parking as this is yet more stealth inflation to weekly shopping.
