The annual Upminster Christmas event and Christmas tree light switch-on took place on Friday afternoon (22 November 2024) and was a great success. As well as the official switch-on of the lights by the Mayor of Havering, there were things happening across the centre of Upminster, including a children’s rides in the Upminster Infants School playground.

The event was organised by the hard work of members of the Upminster and Cranham Residents’ Association (UCRA), who stepped in to organise and fund it (supported by several local businesses), when Havering Council pulled out of organising such events.

We hope that residents will agree with us that the tree and street light decorations look great this year.
