Upminster to Romford train service to be renamed the Liberty Line

Following Transport for London’s (TfL) consultation last year on naming several London Overground lines, including the one that runs from Upminster to Romford, TfL have announced that the line is to be named the Liberty Line, “…to reference the historical independence of the people of the borough of Havering” and celebrating “a defining feature of London”.

The new TfL Tube and Overground map is available to view via the TfL new names webpage.
