Thames Freeport and Avecera are holding a free Small Business Accelerator Programme (SBAP) for local business owners and leaders, starting in September 2026.

AI is already changing how businesses work, and the ones getting ahead started early. Business owners, directors and senior leaders across Barking & Dagenham, Havering and Thurrock can join the SBAP, built to help small businesses tackle real challenges and improve efficiency with AI. Built for leaders, not technologists. No cost, and no technical background needed. If you can run a business, you can do this.

Over four weeks you get an in-person workshop, flexible online learning, and weekly support to put AI to work in ways that matter to your business.

The SBAP courses run from 4-7pm, starting on the following dates –

• Barking Learning Centre, Barking, IG11 7NB, Tuesday 01 September 2026
• Harold Hill Library, Havering, RM3 8ED, Thursday 10 September 2026
• Thurrock Community Centre, Grays, RM17 6XP, Thursday 01 October 2026
