Gallows Corner Update (29 August 2025)
Transport for London (TfL) announced earlier this week that the current Gallows Corner junction works to replace the previous flyover will be delayed past the stated finish date of the end of September 2025.
TfL have stated that the delay is due to unforeseen problems that Essex and Suffolk Water is having with its adjacent works to renew major pipes, which is taking place simultaneously to prevent the A127 having to be closed for a lengthy period in the future.
TfL have not given a new finish date.
Havering Council has written to TfL, to express disappointment that the disruption currently being caused, will be extended longer than expected. They have also asked TfL to cover any additional costs caused to the borough, its residents and businesses, by the extended closure.
