Update re Exchange House 180-182 St. Mary’s Lane
With reference to our previous post regarding the planning application for ‘Prior Approval for demolition of Exchange House,180-182 St Mary’s Lane’, Havering Council have served an Article 4 Notice, which removes permitted development rights. Therefore the ‘prior approval’ application will be refused on the basis that demolition is not permitted development.
The building’s owners can still apply for planning permission to demolish the building but this will mean far more scrutiny than would have happened under the previous application.
