Cathedral Estate re-launches Neighbourhood Watch

This morning (Tuesday 03 August 2021), Neighbourhood Watch was re-launched on the Cathedral Estate. Gary and Natasha Francis, who spearheaded the re-launch, have written about how it came about.

‘One good thing to come out of the Covid-19 lockdowns is the community spirit of the residents on the Cathedral Estate, Cranham. During the lockdown a Cathedral Estate residents What’s App was formed and this brought the local community closer together.

One of the most talked about subjects on this group was local crime and ensuring we all look out for each other. Then, after I caught three men trying to steal my car, we decided to set up a new Neighbourhood Watch, not just for our road, but covering the whole of the estate.

With the great help of PCSO Joanne Greatorex from the Upminster Policing Team and Mike Winters of the Havering Neighbourhood Watch Association, we have managed to achieve our aim, with well over a third of the residents on the estate currently signed up.

Community Spirit At Its Best!

Regards

Gary & Natasha Francis’
