Eastbury Concert Band raise money for Saint Francis Hospice

On Saturday 11 December, Eastbury Concert Band (ECB) raised the magnificent sum of £181 for Saint Francis Hospice by playing carols and seasonal music outside Roomes Store in Upminster. They send their thanks to everyone who gave money, for their generosity, and to Roomes Store management, for permission to play outside their store.

Eastbury Concert Band is a local amateur mixed ability brass/reed/percussion band that meets at Havering-ate-Bower on a Friday evening and would give any aspiring musician a warm welcome, irrespective of age or ability. They play a wide variety of music from Sousa to Beatles, Carpenters to Miller etc. and of course Christmas carols!

So, if you are a lapsed player, why not get your instrument out of the cupboard and come along and give them a try. If, on the other hand, you are learning and want encouragement by playing alongside others in a band, you are equally welcome.
