Government pension tracing service

With reference to our previous post regarding the proposed expansion of the Dormant Assets Scheme, many people who have changed jobs during their working lives (the average is 11 jobs per person) may have accrued several small private pensions. In some cases, they may not have details of a pension or the company involved may have changed ownership and be difficult to trace.

To help people find their lost pensions, the government has a free pension tracing service. You can contact them via www.gov.uk/find-pension-contact-details or on their freephone number 0800 731 0193.
