Old Rector’s Duck Pond Refilled!

Pond Walk

While the recent rain has left the ground sodden, the upside is that the pond at Pond Walk has now refilled.

The pond is a unique piece of local history. It appears on early maps and belonged to the previous Cranham Rectory, demolished in the 1920’s, which stood opposite the pond on the other side of Front Lane. It was in fact the Rector’s duck pond.

Gems like this give the area its unique character and, with the help of local residents, the Residents’ Association and other supporters, will continue to grace our neighbourhood for a long time yet to come.
