Preferred Route chosen for M25 Brentwood Junction Improvement Scheme

M25 – Junction 28

The Highways Agency have announced the preferred route for the proposed junction improvement works at junction 28 (Brentwood) of the M25.

The public consultation ran from November 2016 to January 2017 and attracted 228 responses. Of the suggested schemes, option 5F was supported by 49% of respondents, with option 5B (17%) and option 5C (12%) some way behind.

Option 5F will mean having a second lane on the new loop road – further details are contained in the following publication –  J28 leaflet

A second consultation will take place early in 2018, where stakeholders will be able to comment on the detailed design of the scheme.
