With reference to our previous post on 03 May 2024, concerning rubbish and recycling collections following the recent Bank Holiday, it has come to our attention that the company that has the contract to undertake street collections, did not complete them as promised over the Bank Holiday period.

Due to this, they are currently running well behind in their collections and are unable to guarantee a collection on the normal day, as previously promised.

Unfortunately, Havering Council have therefore had to issue the advice that people should leave their bags out by 7am on the normal day this week (w/c 06 May 2024) but if they are not collected, then residents should leave them out again by 7am on the following morning.

Havering Council are taking this matter up with the senior management of the company involved, due to the failure in contracted service.
