Supporting Good Causes

We are very fortunate in our area to have a wealth of community groups and volunteers who give up their time to support and help others in many various ways. The Upminster & Cranham Residents’ Association have long recognised the importance of this and, with the tremendous help of readers and members, have been able to fund many good causes across the area. For example:

  • Fund a disability group for a day trip to seaside
  • Provide play equipment for our schools and pre-school groups
  • Provide High Viz jackets and other equipment for StreetWatch volunteers
  • Pond Walk dredging, fencing and posts
  • Local Allotments Open Day Sponsorship
  • Support to Friends of Parklands, Upminster Windmill and Mini-golf
  • Launch of Corbets Tey Regeneration Group
  • Donations to St Francis Hospice and First Step

These are just some of the good causes you have helped support. We are always keen to invite fresh applications from voluntary groups or individuals, if you are interested please email cllrclarencebarrett@yahoo.co.uk
