There has been a great deal of controversy over the new Government’s decision to make Winter Fuel Payments means tested. As part of this, it has been highlighted nationally that many eligible pensioners do not claim Pension Credit, even thought they would be eligible for it, which would then entitle them to apply for Winter Fuel Payments.
