Upminster Windmill’s gardens have once again proven themselves among the best in the capital, scooping multiple top accolades at the 2025 London in Bloom awards ceremony held at Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Wisley on Monday 20 October 2025.

The site proudly achieved the Level 5 (Outstanding) award for its Judged Garden, along with Gold Awards for Biodiversity, Environmental Challenge, and Sustainable Gardening, the latter earning the team a nomination to the national RHS Britain in Bloom Awards.

“These RHS awards are a testament to the dedicated work of all our volunteers,” said volunteer Janet Triggs. “They don’t just pick up a trowel, dig up a weed, nurture a plant, they share a laugh and cultivate a sense of pride and community that has grown into something truly special, all in just one day a week!”

Upminster Windmill continues to flourish as a multi-award-winning garden and a proud symbol of local passion, teamwork, and environmental care.
